Update, the kids

April 10, 2012

Time keeps on slipping, slipping, slipping… into the future…

I have a 13 year old daughter now. She turned 13 in London. She’s utterly beautiful.  She’s finding theat public school has many of the same problems, and some different problems, then the ones she had ain private school.  She’s not crazy about reading for music, but sometimes you surprise me. This weekend she and her mother finish this first 2 books of the hunger games, and she wants the third book.

I have a 7 year old son.  He loves rules and calendars and running.  He’s obsessed with the snake book his grandmother got him a few weeks ago… he takes it to school, and I find him waiting for me to pick him up reading it to his friends. He has major emotional meltdown, which I have finally concretely tied to his nutrition. So now, he gets protein at every meal and snack, and he gets a lot less sugar and no artificial dyes in his food.

I have a 4 year old boy.  He’s still a giant, standing head and shoulders overall his classmates.  He loves everything his big brother loves, and his favorite game right now is to pretend to be a kitty in a package, mailed to me. He still having intermittent problems with a bully at school, but it’s hard to know when he’s telling the truth. We’ve seen enough now that we tak him seriously every time he says something.  He still loves chocolate milk more than any other food on this planet.

They’re annoying and frustratingonce and  beautiful, and so totally mine.
