Transgender people are humans. Citizens. People. Individuals with agency, sentience, intelligence.
You cannot make different rules for transgender people, just as you cannot make different rules for, say, black people.
Am I equating trans persecution with slavery? No, but those two things are wearing the exact same clothes, going to the same hangouts, and speaking in the same accents.
